G36 vs. Kahr

kahr tp 45 at budsgunshop is only $430 shipped. link

glock 36 used $459 shipped. link

If you like used guns they sell those too, free shipping. link

I tried the Kahr before I bought the Glock and I could not shoot it that accurately at 50' and the slide was more difficult to rack. Overhand (my normal racking method) was manageable but a finger & thumb rack slipped quite often. Could be my oily fingers but I do not have that problem with the G36.

Whatever you decide try it out, one mans garbage is another mans treasure.

Pt1911

I got my Taurus PT1911 for $600 bucks total in 2008, brand new. Also, that six hundred got me the top of the line model in stainless steel with the bull's head walnut grips. They're pretty decent pistols; I'm happy with mine. Would I like a Kimber? Hell yeah, but I'm broke.

G36 Threaded Barrel?

I have a glock 36 it is okay, it is thin and small. It is kinda like a toyota corolla, it does the job but it isn't all that special. How about a kahr .45 ?

Is that a threaded barrel on your Glock 36? I have been looking for one for my G36 without success. Where did you get yours from if you don't mind telling?

They are all over the place, it's a lonewolf. It may just be difficult to find in stock mine came from CA. It was about $130/$140 shipped with thread protector.

For CCW I'd look into finding a used G36. I really think that's the way to go for your price range. That or just save up a little more for a new one. We're not getting CCW up here anytime in the near future (ie. next 6-12 months).
