I was in Okanogan couple weeks ago, helped out one farmer with a marmot infestation, then off to the woods for some 4wheelin' fun. Stopped at several gas stations, Safeway, Mexican restaurant etc. No one seemed to notice the 44M in a shoulder holster, just like it outta be.

So the rules at the Cody Museum of the West is no OC. CC is ok, but they want you to "Check visible firearms with security." They provide lock boxes. I didn't bother OCing in, just locked it up in the truck. However the Dug Up Gun Museum (also in Cody) was perfectly fine with OC.

Went & got vehicle serviced at Speck Buick GMC in Kennewick today, & walked over to Double Dragon to have lunch. A few of the other patrons there kept glancing over at me, but nothing was said. After lunch, walked back over to Speck Buick GMC & picked up the vehicle. Made a quick stop at Enterprise Rent-A-Car (Clearwater & Edison), asking about potential costs to do a vehicle rental, just a few glances from other patrons, but no responses from staff. A quick stop at the COSTCO Gas (where I stayed in the driver seat), then over to Columbia Grain & Feed (20th & Lewis in Pasco), but stayed in driver seat. Next stop was Golden Wok on Road 68 to place a to-go order, went over to Lowe's to pick up a few items, then back to Golden Wok to pick up the to-go order (stayed in car). Had a few items to pick up at Pasco Walmart, & while walking through the store noticed a few looks but nothing more. Next stop was the Maverik at Road 68 & Sandifur to pick up some small engine fuel & drinks with a couple of patrons giving double takes but nothing more. On the way home, stopped by Country Mercantile to use facilities & try some samples, noticed some looks from patrons but nothing more.

(Set up I was using was the Alien Gear ShapeShift Shoulder Holster)

Took the wife to Tri-Cities Airport, so she could get a rental vehicle. When we got there, a flight had just landed & there were several people in the terminal near the car rental counters & baggage claim.

While walking to check out rental vehicles, had a female TSA Security Officer walk by, & she just smiled. Most everyone else that noticed, did double-takes.

Had to run a few errands in the Tri-Cities today. 1st stop was the Chase on Road 68 in Pasco, where the staff are used to seeing me carry. A few patrons gave double looks, but nothing more. Next after that was HAPO to get some money out of the ATM, & everyone was too busy in their own lives to see past their own noses. The GESA on Road 68 & Sandifur was the next stop to do a car payment, just a few looks there but nothing else. Another financial stop at Money Tree on 20th Ave. to do a payday loan payment, & again the staff is used to me carrying & other patrons too busy to notice.

Up next was Franklin PUD to pay power & no discernible responses there. Needing to make a stop at Speck Buick GMC & asked a few questions concerning vehicle maintenance, & no one batted an eye. Next was a lunch stop at KFC/A&W on Kennewick Ave., & no discernible responses. Needing to get gas, went to Costco, where I stayed in the driver seat, so nothing there.

While enjoying a snack after work today, I was stopped at The Sushi House on Burden Boulevard in Pasco. While there, had a gentleman ask me what I was carrying, as he noticed the magazines on my right side.

While I conceal when I go into Costco, I always open carry at the gas pumps. Nothing but positives from the employees (I think they are all pro rights).

Griz, sorry but when an individual espouses their libertarian values of not standing for private property owners infringing on 2A resulting in alledged protesting w/placards outside of said offending business[es] then hypocritically stating in another thread they OC on the business’ gas station premises or CC’g inside their store seems counterproductive!

Went to Tri-Cities yesterday to run a few "essential" errands AKA eliminate cabin fever. While stopped at the Maverik on Keene & Duportail, checking out after getting drinks, the Adventure Guide looked at me then exclaimed "I didn't even notice you carrying" after I inputted my alternate ID at the POS terminal.

(FYI: I was wearing the shirt which is in my profile with the Alien Gear Holsters ShapeShift Shoulder Holster configuration).

Costco here is currently $2.35, whereas yesterday when I gassed up there it was $2.49.

When gassing up yesterday, no one noticed I was carrying.

I've heard it is because people can only focus on your stunningly good looks. I wouldn't know because I've only seen your back.

CoL, the lad is good looking whose parents are a fine couple and he has a lovely wife and everyone have a great smile & personality...truly nice folks!

Dark color shirt, combined with people only seeing past the tip of their nose.

With how I have the Alien Gear ShapeShift Shoulder Holster configuration done, when arms are down at side, unless you know what to look for, the sidearm is hidden.

That's how the Maverik employee noticed was that my arm was elevated briefly.

While I don't OPEN carry inside Costco, I always do when I am pumping my gas. Lot's of hostile stares from our Canadian visitors (we are closest Costco over the border near Vancouver), put the only comment was an "atta boy" from the Costco gas attendant.
