While I don't OPEN carry inside Costco, I always do when I am pumping my gas. Lot's of hostile stares from our Canadian visitors (we are closest Costco over the border near Vancouver), put the only comment was an "atta boy" from the Costco gas attendant.

so boomboy007, perhaps you have missed this forum’s discussions regarding abiding by private property rights as well as COSTCO’s membership provisions which specifically ban firearms, OC or CC on their property?

Perhaps the sour looks are those COSTCO members showing distain at someone flagrantly ignoring the organization’s policies!

I must take exception to your perception.
"Costco policy prohibits firearms to be brought into the warehouse, except in the case of authorized law enforcement officers."
It appears from their policy that keeping and bearing arms on their property is not prohibited, except for only in the building/warehouse itself.

Funny. Our Canadian visitors come from Quebec, some from Ontario and Nova Scotia and New Brunswick, and I think they'd be disappointed if they didn't see someone in NH OCing.

Same for visitors from MA and NY.

It's all part of their expectation: "OMG I survived the gun-toting hillbillies!"

i surrender to your interpretation, except for these snippets...

“Costco Warehouses means Costco’s membership warehouse locations branded with the Costco Marks that are in operation now or may be operated in the future, in the United States or Puerto Rico. For purposes of this Agreement, the defined term “Costco Warehouses” shall include Costco Gasoline Outlets.”

Lately, when OCing both via OWB Paddle & Shoulder Holster, just been getting double takes. A few times I've had people ask if I'm Security or Law Enforcement.

Took a trip to Union Gap yesterday to the Skechers Outlet Store to get some new work shoes. Had a few looks from other patrons. After getting shoes, went across the parking lot to Miner's to have lunch. While enjoying my meal, I noticed a few patrons looking my way.

Since Wednesday, August 16th, I've been consistently from one end of Franklin County to the other.

On that day, the Mayor of Kahlotus decided that she was tired of things & decided to resign. I, being the Mayor Pro Tempore was asked to, at her resignation, by her request & the support of the other city council members, to become Mayor.

On Thursday, August 17th, I went to the Franklin County Courthouse in Pasco to notify the Franklin County Auditor's Office of her resignation & to get the process going to make me officially Mayor. As evidenced in my posts about Courthouse visits, I went through the security checkpoint, by requesting a lockbox key, locking up sidearm & other gear, then proceeded through the security checkpoint as normal. Took care of everything at the Auditor's Office & after collecting sidearm & gear, made my way to Kahlotus City Hall to formalize the transition. Took care of the necessary paperwork at City Hall & (as was late in the day) went home for the evening.

Friday morning & I went back to the Franklin County Courthouse to turn in the paperwork to finalize me becoming Mayor to the Auditor's Office. No problems with the security checkpoint, just followed procedures. I had a request to meet that evening with the former City Clerk/Treasurer & former City Public Works Director regarding some City issues outside of City Hall. After finished there, went home.

Saturday Afternoon into Sunday morning had me working in Pullman during Lentil Fest, & I secured sidearm in vehicle while working.

Monday, I went to Kahlotus City Hall to officially begin my duties as Mayor by picking up the keys, City cell phone, & laptop that the former Mayor left there for me to pick up. While in City Hall, I secured sidearm in vehicle.

Tuesday, I spent more time at Kahlotus City Hall getting things organized. I had Alcohol Enforcement training in Pullman at WSU inside Beasley Coliseum in the evening (secured sidearm in vehicle).

Wednesday morning, I made a stop at the city attorney's office to set up a meeting to introduce myself & conduct City business (sidearm was secured in vehicle). I then went to the Franklin County Courthouse & proceeded through the security checkpoint following normal procedures. While there the Board of County Commissioners were holding their weekly meeting, & during one of the public comment periods, I got up & introduced myself as the new Mayor for City of Kahlotus. After was done, collected sidearm & gear from security checkpoint & spent the rest of the day at Kahlotus City Hall (more organizing & working on upgrading City laptop).

Thursday was spending more time at Kahlotus City Hall.

Friday morning, I had a meeting with Franklin County Emergency Management to learn more about their duties & responsibilities & my role as part of their board (during the meeting, sidearm was secured in vehicle). After was done with FCEM, went out to Kahlotus City Hall to discuss with the City Clerk/Treasurer how the FCEM meeting went & to see how things were going (sidearm secured in vehicle).

Yesterday, stayed home to rest & relax. A little bit later today, going to go take advantage of National Cinema Day at Fairchild Cinemas-Southgate (Kennewick) & take advantage of the $4 movie tickets by watching Gran Turismo (Fairchild Cinemas does allow concealed carry of weapons, just no OC).
