Oh yeah, just got back from kroger ( the one the guy oc'ed the ar in earlier this year) no issues.

Guess, I should of said, Agent19 is done with vagt, at least until the owner stops promoting folks need to show a chp to help prove they aren't a felon.

Maybe he doesn't know that having a badge, chp, military id or voter id doesn't prove anything other than you possess that item.

Meh.

The one gun I've bought from there, the guy didn't want to see anything. I never even got his name.

It's not that all the members are demanding to see a chp.

It's that the owners of the site is promoting something I fundamentally disagree with.
And there has been an upsurge in the number of folks asking for PII and a chp etc, since first joining the site.

If I got to provide my PII and show my gubermint issued papers to make a seller feel good I might as well deal with an ffl.

BOT:
First day of school, I oc'ed the only legal way I could while dropping off my kids, but we aren't supposed to speak of it outside of the ca forums.

Went to big box store so the little ones could tour the toy isle, oc'ed my normal gear.

I'll read there, and I've bought from there (without either party revealing PII), but yes, the owner has been acting weird and insulting a broad array of gun owners. Sad.

So did anyone ever get a group going to eat out once in a while with other OC people in cville? Id would be interested to join if such a group exists.

There's isn't a formal group or meetings in this area.
There were more that posted in this forum but they no longer post (though they may still read it) and I haven't seen the two I know in over a yr.

There's a VCDL meeting towards the end of the month; http://vcdl.org/node/401

IMHO, the best way to attend an OC get together is to post one yourself. Pick a place, date and time that you plan to be there and invite others to join.

Too many places since my last posting in this thread: no issues anywhere.

Way too many places, lots of positive comments lately.

My son and I went to the Grand Opening of Gander Mtn and we happened to see a young(early 20's) attractive woman OC'ing a Glock. (Kudos to here)

Plenty of ammo on hand even the elusive 22lr.

Been to Best Buy almost everyother day
I was working there wednesday but was just passing through town, didn't have time to call anyone and had to head straight home as I had an appointment at the Pentagon Thursday morning.

Not quite Cville, but I was in Harrisonburg the evening before, and had just walked into Bob Evans for dinner and was waiting to be seated. An older couple came in behind me, and the woman seated in her wheelchair was of course eyelevel with my SIG. She asked me, "are you here to protect our food?"

"No, ma'am", I answered.
"The waitress will give you a knife."

Too many places to mention, nothing negative.

@ Kroger:
Did have a mom that was in town visiting her daughter (UVA student) make positive comments about me expressing my rights and carrying for personal defense, she is from Maine.

@Food Lion:
Had a clerk that owns guns (recent chp applicant/husband is a C&R holder) try to tell me all kinds of incorrect info.
1) 18yrs couldn't buy firearms handguns
2) 18yrs and < couldn't OC
3) folks without a chp can't have a loaded firearm with them in their car
4) thought it was weird that some folks (namely me) choose to always be armed. (WHY DO YOU NEED A GUN IN GROCERY STORE?)
It was a very interesting conversation, so interesting I had to make a return trip to see if she researched the info I had provided her. She hadn't but I had came prepared for that.
I also made her a bet if she could prove me wrong I'd buy her the gun of her choice or she'd buy me one if I was proven correct, she didn't bite. (DARN!!!!)

Wal-mart:
New resident to the area from DC.
Was surprised folks could openly carry their firearms..

A few folks played show and tell..... I did note that quite a few men are carrying Ruger LCP's and lots a women are carrying DAO 357mag revolvers.

No thanks needed, just being me.. :shocker:
The real thanks goes to all those who OC and show folks that we are just "normal" folks that just happen to carry a firearm..

Had to visit a few county offices yesterday, I was surprised not a peep about my traveling companion.....

The clerk at the local store did ask what caliber I was carrying today , as she noticed the different gun.( Stainless 1911 vs Parkerized 1911)
Today it's
For you handloader's my fav load is 13.5 grs of long shot over a 200gr xtp for 1483 fps/ 977 ft lbs.

Whenever you want company post or PM me, were halfway between Ric and Cville, I haven't been OCing (weight issues leading to pants that don't like carrying a gun, ah the joys of being female) and husband chooses not to but we would get together when we can afford to. We love the Chinese buffet off 29, near Chilis, I love the Sushi there.

Hay there Katherine - you might update your location. I know your "from" Richmond but you're more of a country girl now :)

With my weight and build, I now wear Perry suspenders 100% of the time - keeps everything like pants and handgun where they belong.

You might check them out and make a new fashion statement.

Location is purposeful. Always been a country girl, live only about 20 mins from where I grew up. LOL and will consider the suspenders.

Way too many places to list since my last posting.
Nothing really to talk about as nothing eventful happened, the way it should be.

Same as above, as I OC 99.999% of the time.

Have noticed more folks OC'ing in this area, UNFORTUNATELY when I see them I'm usually pressed for time.

If you are out and about and you notice someone OC'ing and they happen to be wearing shorts (when no one else is) it's most likely me. Feel free to say Hi, you already know my name.
