Went to the county river/park by the Clackamas river and this is the sign they had up.IMAG0251.jpg
looking the cc ord. it does say chl is exempt but you have to look for it on line and take about 5-10 min. to find it.

Still the primary message, the take away, is that weapons are not allowed.

OTOH - mine is not a weapon (implies aggressive use intended), it is a defensive tool. :)

Send them an email. Clackamas County put a sticker over the improper wording at a park I notified them about.
Best is a new sign, but absenting that paint remover on a rag (rub briskly) works better than either a sticker or tape overlay which can easily be removed.

They told me the sticker was temporary until they ordered new signs during the next budget cycle. I figured it was at least a step in the right direction.

In the bigger (than just 2A) picture, the wording of their sign is attempting to circumvent the 4th amendment by declaring that if you don't submit to seach of your possessions, you will be trespassed. That doesn't sit well with me any more than the wording they chose in order to chill the exercise of constitutionally protected civil rights.......a violation of federal law that "chilling the exercise" of your rights.
