Places of worship are not off limits by statute.

They can post a sign compliant with 39-17-1359 as cited above.

the one's i have went to so far don't mind me carrying, the reason i ask is the pastor at one thought i better ask in case there was a state law that prohibited it. so if the church is ok with it then i guess all is good, thanks.

I'm a marriage Pastor, and our church not only encourages carry, we have a sheepdog ministry made up of former and current military and LEO. We train together and conduct various drills and such. This ministry came about after a man showed up one Sunday after he met the Senior Pastors teenaged daughter on her plane ride back from visiting a school. Through their discussion on the plane, he learned what church she went to, he showed up for service, then a couple of our men found him hiding in the mechanical closet in the final sweep before locking the church up for the night. Cops were called, reports were filed and he went on his way with a warning to never show his face here again. You can never be too careful.

Just as long as it's okay with the Senior Pastor, you should be good to go in TN.

Scott

edited to add: We are near Ft. Campbell and have a large percentage of military in our congregation to fill out this ministry.
