The September meeting of the Pikes Peak Firearms Coalition (PPFC) is this Thursday, September 13th at VFW Post 4051, 430 East Pikes Peak Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO (Eastern edge of downtown) at 7pm.

This Thursday's topics are NFA (National Firearms Act - machine guns, silencers, short barreled rifles, etc.) related: NFA Trusts and trusts in general by Colorado Springs attorney Dan Usiak and how to own NFA firearms by Rick and Kathy Wildman of Wildfire Mercantile, a local NFA dealer.

The PPFC is a local 2nd Amendment activist organization and has been around for about 20 years or so, founded when the need to influence local elections became evident because many local politicians go on to be not-so-local politicians. If you keep the local politicians pro-gun, that position propagates to the state and national levels.

Admission is free.

I’ll be there, probably wearing my black "Stamp Collector" shirt :)

Ps. September PPFC flyer.

Do Colorado Springs (and nearby towns) OCDO Forum members ever have regular "Outings" (get-togethers, maybe something monthly) at a local restaurant (Denny's, IHOP, Village Inn) as other OCDO members do elsewhere?

If not, has anyone there in C-S thought about getting a regular event going?

I not talking about an event sponsored by some organization (which is good), but rather just local OCDO members meeting on a regular basis, to get to know other regular members posting here in the Forum, but also to invite NEW people to attend (new to OCing and/or new to the area).

...sort of a regular "support group" if you will, so C-S OCers who don't know any other OCers (or maybe don't even SEE any other OCers) don't feel so alone/isolated out there.

If something like that is already going on and it's posted here somewhere, my apologies for missing it.
