Update*** Cody City Council agreed to lift ban of all lawfull carry in the Recreation Center***

The town of Cody may vote as early as today to ban lawful carry, this comes on the heel of an “opinion” that a nuisance clause in the state preemption gives them the right to stop lawful carry in a publicly owned recreation center. As usual this is where gun control starts, by imposing incremental attacks on our rights.

We expect this kind of stupidity in California or New York, but not in Wyoming...Just another case of Politicians that tell you what rights you can and can’t have”.
Again they are deeming lawful carry as a nuisance!!! This is how the gun grabbers get their hooks in the system. Chicago style gun control tactics have entered into Wyoming.

The bad actors (Mayor , City Council, City Attorney and the State Attorney General) claim that W.S. 15-1-103 (a) (xviii) a statute pertaining to –“ prevention or suppression of riots, disturbances, disorderly assemblies or parades, or any other conduct which disturbs or jeopardizes public health, safety, peace, or morality, in any public or private place”.

Nice try, but this applies to activities that criminals regularly participate in! The fact is, merely being in possession of a firearm does not make one guilty of rioting, disturbances or bad conduct. In case the Cody officials can’t read – THIS IS AN UNRULY MOB CLAUSE! It was never intended to be used against lawful carry by law abiding citizens. PERIOD!

WyGO - Wyoming Gun Owners will be issuing a travel alert recommending that visitors to Wyoming bypass Cody and Park County altogether.

***CALLS NEEDED before 4pm today***
Please call Cody Mayor Nancy Tia Brown and council members Charles Cloud (R), Samuel Krone (R), Jona Vanata, Steve Miller, Jerry Fritz and Stan Wolz - tell them you will not visit Cody nor spend your hard earned money there.

How nice of them. The folks of Cody might just want to consider why they think they need a "city council" in the first place.

If you give some people ANY power over other people, tyranny is the inevitable result. Just remember who decides what is "lawful."

Why not? We're human. And most of us came from somewhere else - many bringing their old ideas with them. Most actual Wyomingites wouldn't care to run for public office, so those slots tend to get filled with the people who came from somewhere else and - whether intentionally or not - have retained some of their "big brother" attitude.

The difference is that, most of the time, the real Wyomingites notice the tricks and don't let them get away with it. We don't like that sort of crap... and we let them know about it.
