JT, Take note.

I really like Alien Gear. Fits well, works well and hides well.

Problem with the mag carriers as I have seen them so far is they do not do that last thing well. I carry a spare in a pouch similar to a Gerber Multi Tool belt pouch. If I am carrying deep I want the spare mag to look nothing like a spare magazine.

Something for your Alien guys to look into. Use all 3 or 5 eyes you guys got to see that idea.

sorry, i figure if the 16-21 cartridges, depending on what i am carrying at the time, in the firearm's on board magazine isn't sufficient, then i guess i need... 1) more practice, 2) better cover to hide, 3) hone the SA senses cuz i missed the entire situation unfolding around me and caught me completely unawares.

not my practice to defend the populace but rather myself and depending on the day, those i care about and get them out of harms way.

just saying...

Food for thought.

While the source material is somewhat dated there is still a lot of information we can learn from this. One thing to also note is that the stories used for this study were all situations in which a citizen successfully defended themselves. This means that the study focuses on and shows what works, not what doesn’t work.

I do not carry a extra magazine on my person. Several in my vehicle and also where guns are stored around the home.

As I am always on the lookout for an OWB mag holder for the double stack 45 (Glock 30) I wind up purchasing a "few" (uh, a lot) of these types of things.

I bought one of these as advertised. Figured I could always send it back in the 30 day test phase.

Most of the stuff that came with it I won't use. I don't conceal my spare mag and unless I'm OC somewhere, it's covered by my extremely fashionable, expensive fishing shirt.

With that out of the way, I'd have to say this works pretty well.

I rotated it 90 degrees to get the magazine carrier to ride HORIZONTAL instead of vertical. No need for the paddle or extra attachments to make this happen. The clip goes right over the belt and is held securely. It's my new EDC spare mag holder.

Now, when this shows up at your doorstep, it does look to be pretty Rube Goldberg the first time you look at it. However, depending on just what you need it for, a lot of the things can be put back in the bag and on the shelf.

I have a few Velcro type horizontal mag holders for the double stack 45's but I think this one beats them nicely, and I've tried a LOT of them.

I have another horizontal mag holder for the 9mm and 40 when needed that I like better, but they never made one for my G30, so this is the one that gets the nod from me.

Just putting in my 2 cents in case anybody is in the same predicament.
