Been my experience that Cabela follows/honors state laws to that regard.

Keep it holstered and go about your business.

I don't go into Cabelas much, simply because it is 90 miles away in South Dakota. I've only bought a few things there, much as I like to look. Too expensive.

But yeah, I always open carry. Never had a problem.

Don't know 'bout West Vervinny, but west of the Mississippi I have had no problems with Cabela's, Bass Pro or Sportsman's Warehouse in Missouri, Colorado, Montana or Wyoming.

Just be aware that occasionally an overzealous Cabela's store manager has implemented their own policies re carry. Or at least that used to happen, perhaps corporate finally sent a clear message about that, chain-wide.

happens at wally world, sams, Gander, and Dicks occasionally also ~ when i am challenged i find the store manager or DM and ask if corp has changed their policy (could happen i suppose and nobody out here on the forum hadn't heard anything about it - naw'llll h3ll would freeze over first!!) and an apology is issued and things return to the status quo.
