We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. I think you are too generous when you say in your signature that learned academics who curb their students should resign. I would tend more towards: "...should be cast from the highest window of the Ivory Tower."

Yes, as in "subject to absolute rule." I like our government of/by/for the people, better.
