Greenville police are searching for a fifth man who has been charged in a home invasion that authorities say was foiled by a gun-toting 13-year-old.
Sylvester Rodriquez Jones, 19, of 520 Lowndes Hill Road, Apartment13, Greenville, was charged with burglary in the first degree, lynching in the second degree and attempted armed robbery, according to warrants.
A gunman and four other men barged in to George Dickert's home off Wade Hampton Boulevard on Sunday, authorities said. As the men roughed Dickert up, causing his eye to swell, his son came into the room carrying a pistol, according to reports and warrants. The men saw the boy with the gun and ran away.
The warrants allege the men invaded the home to steal money from Dickert.
The others charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree lynching and attempted armed robbery are Jonathan Michael Arnold, 20, of 520 Lowndes Hill Road, Apartment 29, Greenville; Rico Antonio Miller, 18, of 520 Lowndes Hill Road, Apartment 29, Greenville; and Ronnie Harris Jr., 17, of 10 Ridge Road, Greenville.
Granada Xaviercaree Grayson, 19, of 319 Boling Road, Taylors, was charged with attempted armed robbery, according to warrants.
