This Bill (H 2259) includes other provisions, reducing the four firearm licenses to one and establishing 13 categories. http://www.dailynewstranscript.com/news/x562885497/Key-lawmakers-warm-to-bipartisan-bill-overhauling-gun-laws

A couple of the categories includes a person indicted of a crime punishable by up to a year in jail, a person convicted of a violent crime or tagged with a restraining order, a fugitive from justice, an undocumented immigrant, or a person who has renounced his or her U.S. citizenship.

My question is on the Indictment and the fugitive from justice parts of this bill, it makes me wonder, does that ask you are Currently under an Indictment and a fugitive from justice only? or does it mean Have you even been under an Indictment and or a fugitive from justice? This new law their trying to pass sounds shady, what do you think?

YES, your feeling is right!!! H2259 is a very deceptive and hideous piece of legislation. It is so complicated that no one has really read it and everyone is assuming that other gun owners have carefully read it and that surely GOAL would never propose a bill that was HARMFUL to our second amendment rights. Those assumptions are absolutely WRONG! If you are merely under indictment for a minor misdemeanor which is punishable by over a year in prison you instantly lose your gun rights! If you are convicted of any crime which is not a crime of violence and which is possibly punishable by over a year in prison even if you only get ONE DAY in prison you instantly lose your gun rights! We are digging our own graves by supporting this bill. No one understands it. That is why they support it!
