Asheville OC Meet

Trying to drum up interest in having an OC meet here in the Asheville area. I've sent out some PMs to people that expressed interest in previous threads but have not had any responses yet. Please let me know if you would bewilling, and what area(s) you would want to meet in, and what dates available. June 26th or July 10, 17 or 24th would work best for me.

Hello. I live in Barnardsville and i am very intetrested. I own a Super Redhawk in 454 Casull 7.5". Let me know the date and i can probably make it work with advance notice. I would love to talk with someone with OC experiences in this area and the law enforcement here. I carry mine in the car when i leave the house. I have taken my CC course and am waiting to get the permit.

Was thinking of a short meeting on the blue ridge parkway, then moving on to someplace inside Asheville proper. Perhaps even downtown, if enough people are good to go on that. Looks like we have 6 people interested (I have one other person who is not on this board ) so we can start thinking more about where this would happen. Please PM me with suggestions. Remember that we must stay outside of 1000 feet from any schools, so keep that in mind when suggesting locations.

OK, we've got several interested people. I'm going to narrow down the date to the 17th of July. I have one person interested in coming that will not be OC, but will be in charge of recording any public or LEOinteractions with a camcorder.

Please respond back to me by PM or on here if that 17th is a good date for you.

As I have received no suggestions from anyone, my orignal plan as stated above is what I am going with. A shortmeeting firston the Blue Ridge Parkway at one of the overlooks close to town, followed by a walk downtown. I would want to do this fairly early in the day, to avoid the worst of the heat, and the enevitable afternoon thunderstorms.

i work 3rd shift and dont get off until 8 am.

Probably meet at the overlook of choice about 9:30 or so, and allow some time for everyone to get there. Have ashort meeting there to get acquainted before travelling on into town. Plan on being downtown~ 11 AM. This is flexible.

I would like to have everyone who plans on being there PM their phone number ( cell is best ) and name to me. Thanks.
