I certainly remember. And now, I sleep with the .45 on the night stand; and the 500 loaded with 00 Buck in the corner. My neighborhood remains safe, but my town has seen many questionable characters moving in, these past years; and there have been incidents that never existed 10 or 15 years ago. Most neighbors are well armed, and it would be difficult to swing a dead cat without hitting someone carrying. I suppose it's change with the times or pay the price. I live in one of the small PA towns in the middle of the Coal Regions. More or less the only Western Towns East of the Mississippi. ....... The illegal problem in Shenandoah , apparently began, when a Catholic priest from that town began sheltering & assisting illegals to enter the country.

The Catholic church is an extension of the country of Rome. Remember Manuel Noriega? He took refuge in the Catholic church in Panama.

Although educated by Jesuits, I consider myself a Christian ( not a Catholic ); in the sense, I try to follow the basic teachings of Christ ( and the Buddha ). Do no harm in My Name - - - - - Go & try to sin no more. That alone is a tough road to navigate. I see no passages attributed to Christ that state, do not defend yourself. Organized religions have too much mortal input ( the priest harboring illegals ) for my liking; and men are prone to foibles - mistakes. I try to stick with elegant religious engineering. Pleasingly ingenious and simple.

More often than not, all posts ( more or less ) go off on tangents; but it does not mean the tangents are not related. I posted I now keep my doors locked & remain armed, and mainly because unsavory people have moved to my area; and I posted one of the reasons illegal aliens began to take up residence in towns near me. Nothing disjointed what so ever. Everything is connected. Just the fact someone enters the country illegally, is a fact they have broken the law, & are now criminals. Truth remains truth, and facts remain facts, regardless of their age.

You are sure painting this as a black and white issue. I am glad you have never violated some law. Unsavory people have been around for ever. Where those unsavory people congregate is usually where the cost of housing is the least expensive. But, most people that live in those areas don't want crime in their neighborhoods anymore than upper class neighborhoods.

Fifty years ago reporting of crime in the news was local. Today it is national. I need to lock my doors because a "home invasion" took place 2,000 miles away.

And now the media goes to great lengths, to not report crime attributed to illegal aliens. Go figure that one. Do I believe all illegals are criminals; only the ones who enter the country illegally. How do you get past that? My point is, every single day, law abiding American citizens die or are injured at the hands of illegal aliens. Now, do legal American citizens kill or injure other legal American citizens, absolutely. That being said, we already have "enough home grown monsters" to sort out; so why would we tolerate the importing of more. Riddle me that one. And I have broken laws & committed violations; but I paid the fines, and lived with it. I showed up in court as ordered. Most illegals charged with an offense, run for it, do not show up for hearings - their court date, and too often commit more crimes.

Sorry Jim, there is no relationship in your disjointed threads, except in your own mind as you try way, way to hard to rationalize your apparent lack of viable reasoning skills and comprehension issues on this forum.

Let’s see, since the 29th of Sept, 76 posts on various disjointed subjects from:
pinging necrothreads stating OC sucks, what do you carry, computers, pig heads, stars, nonsense on PA shooting, tolstoy, unusual handgun crap, two mags, regulations, shoulder holsters, NFA, wallet holster, ‘good advice’, liberals, ‘common sense’, 10 rd mags, older pistol books, now olde enough.

Again, for an individual of your self-reporting alledged maturity, who alledged has ‘infinitely more living & paid more dues’ apparently exceeding every forum member’s, and espouses they have 40 years of expert markmanship as well as perfect sexual prowess [hurling in the corner of a round room over that last brag] your posted subject matter is certainly bizarre to say the least.

Now your new throughly disjointed subject matter seems to reveal some of your true biases which you are presenting under your perception of ‘truth.’ Now as for fact(s) ~ your presentations to date of providing viable OBJECTIVE ‘fact’ has been unquestioningly and consistently lacking any substance of viable cites(s) of TRUTH throughout your short prolific postings on this forum’s pages.

it is a shame you insist on insulting the readership with such nonsense, pig heads nothwithstanding.

Now I understand, most raised by Jesuits believe they are superior to all. It took years of exorcism of the evil spirits planted in his head of a close friend who was raised by Jesuits. We do have to keep him out of the wine isle at Kroger.

Why would you begin your litany with, Sorry Jim? Why apologize if you feel you are dead right, and I am dead wrong? I did not think posts & replies on this forum required pigeonholing. I guess I was wrong. Might be time to move on. The only reason I inject what may be considered off topic, is simply to stimulate some conversation. As far as OC or CC, I have always been able to do both; more often than not, CC. If I felt threatened concerning my right to do either, I would definitely step up. To date, I have never had a problem. At least one of my faults is not paranoia.

That may be, but a good friend of mine from college was a 1LT during the raid on his lair. I don't have any idea if that was the Catholic church or some other location. I only learned about it when I saw his face on the cover of Soldier of Fortune magazine in the grocery store around the Fall of 1991. He'd been shot! I called up our mutual buddy, and weirder still, my friend was visiting our mutual friend, so we all chatted for a while.
