To be fair, there are some serious issues with trucking regulation. Mandatory empty return trips, for instance. The way the licensing system works is a complete clusterfuck also.

truck bondage has nothing to do with semis....

the truck bondage system was a set up in coal country and western mining operations, companies paid their workers in company scrip, which was worthless outside of a company store, because the workers "real" wages were low they had little ability to move somewhere else, usually this was combined with a system where the workers had to "rent" their tools they needed for their jobs from a company rental agency, and if they didn't produce enough they went into debt quickly, thereby eliminating mobility.

also for your entertainment, johnny vash sings a folk song written in the early 1900s about that system

Good to know, sorry about the misreading ;)

The Ludlow Massacre and Colorado Coalfield War are one of the most interesting pieces of history for me and occurred due to similar dynamics. No objections here.

I admit, I accepted assistance from the government because I didn't know where else to turn.

Don't know about Grim's involvement in trucking, but to the original concept I'd expect to see the involvement of family supporting you if you are down on your luck. They're typically where you turn first.

To all of those that want to co-opt my thread and turn it into your own personal political "debate", Enough! Do it someplace else! There's a damn good reason why I have only 280ish posts in the last year+. It's because of crap like this! There are people on these forums that are so short sited it's disgusting. People here claim to support rights but in fact, you only support rights when it suits you. If it's a right that you don't agree with then by all means, lets get rid of it. Lets make others suffer just so you can feel better about yourself.

Any further posts by anybody that is off topic, I will be asking forum mods to delete your posts with extreme prejudice. Specifically directed at EMNofSeattle, Eye95, and Brace

I'll answer any and all questions as it pertains to my issue and only my issue.

#1 I do not nor have I ever had a drug or alcohol addiction

#1a My disabilities are not a result of any action I have taken or any inaction, they are a matter of genetics plain and simple. I did not ask for this to happen nor do I wish for it to continue but life has dictated otherwise.

#2 My physical disabilities are specifically related to my ability to move and get through life without extreme pain. I suffer from degenerative arthritis at the age of 35. I also have major spine issues that may need surgery but I can't afford it so I deal.

#3 My mental disabilities are long lasting and started as a child but I have learned over the last 10 years or so to bring them under control to a certain degree.

#4 I am currently a full time student paying my own way through student loans in order to obtain my bachelors of applied science and currently taking classes in Computer Networking and Information System Security. It's a desk job for the most part but it's something I enjoy and something that I find fulfilling and believe I can earn a living with.

#5 The reason I need a lawyer is because I need to file a lawsuit in federal court against a private organization acting on the government's behalf which violated my rights, forcefully removed me from my lawfully obtained residence and used the local court system to do such under false pretense. I now have an eviction on my record which now will haunt me for many years and is a nasty grease stain on my credit report that any prospective landlords will see once they do a background/credit check. I have incurred legal costs, moving expenses, expenses related to dealing with the eviction itself as well as costs related to my education just to name a few. I'm not suing the government so you don't have to worry that the tax payers will end up footing the bill should I win the lawsuit.

#6 If you want names, then tough. All I will say is that I have in fact spoken with representatives from SAF, and 2nd amendment lawyers that either frequent these forums or have been recommended to me by SAF. All lawyers have said flat out that they do feel I have a strong case and there is a very high chance of wining my case in court.

I have turned to my family and in fact, they were the first ones that I turned to. My father is a an out of work, disabled, retired veteran (served 20+ years in the navy), my mother is as disabled if not more-so then I. I have very little family to speak of. I have turned to anyone and everyone I possibly could turn to before resorting coming to these forums.

You may feel like you are entitled to reduced-price (to you) housing, but you aren't entitled to post what you will without criticism.

Get over it.,

Who gets paid in script these days? Another instance of bringing up irrelevant crap to support a position that requires the dredging up of irrelevant crap.

There is a lot of tough times going around for everybody and a great many folks are getting by. Being on the dole affects me only slightly, I long ago gave up railing against those on the dole as spitting into the wind. I wonder how much private charity would be available if I were not being stolen from by government in the name of public charity. A lot more I can tell you.

Indoctrination vs. being taught rears its ugly head yet again.

WOW!!!!!

I think every point of view has been covered to this point.

The proverbial dead horse has been achieved.

Those that will help will do so. Those that won't, won't.

This thread needs locked.

Once deadhorsedness has been achieved, that is when the beating should commence.

No one ever talks about "beating a live horse!"

The OP has PM'd me. The OP's PM required me to submit a list of specific questions as opposed to responding directly to the general request for information I had posted.

I wait for the OP's next move.

stay safe.
