to quote the police chief at the end of article...

"We would like our victims or store clerks to just cooperate and hand them the money"

OUR victims? WTF is that suppose to mean? and why be a victim when you don't need to be? this police chief is a piece of work and needs to be recalled, or booted out of office for believing people dont' have a right to defend themselves and their property.

A surprising positive article for armed self-defense.

As for the police chief, he said what all police chiefs have to say these days. In effect, "In most cases it is safer to cooperate and give up a little cash than to risk your life over property." But he goes on to declare that citizens have a right to defend themselves.

Maybe not the most articulate guy in the world. But I won't attack him for a poorly turned phrase so long as he affirms our rights to defend ourselves when we believe our lives or limbs are in grave danger.
