isn't 1 human yrs = to 7 dog yrs?

That was the old standard.
Some years ago, there was a new pattern of a dog was ~15 after 1 year and ~25 at 2 years. As I haven't had a dog for 8 years, the only time I was at a vet was with a neighbor a couple of years ago. At that time, they were gauging each breed differently based on the breed and size of the breed. Large dogs like Saints and Rotties matured more slowly than smaller dogs but aged more quickly later in life. That's part of the reason those little ankle-biting yappers like Yorkies and Chihuahas may live for 13-18 human years but the large ones are lucky to make it to 12.

I'm hoping my cane corso live long as possible, he's 3 now and he's the best dog i'v ever owned...Great with kids, other dogs, loyal and great alarm system for the property. But goodness he slobber and it's worst when he stick his head out the window when i'm driving and the saliva splash on the other drivers windshield...

"Ewww" is right !!
Freedom - at 3 y.o., how big is your CC? And what color phase is he? This site breaks it down by color phase. https://www.petage.com/cane-corso-longevity-study-announced/
This site says an average of 10-11 years. https://www.worldlifeexpectancy.com/dog-life-expectancy-cane-corso

he's 100 pds give or take......but he's a vacuum cleaner when it comes to food. I tried to feed him a healthy diet and plenty of yard to run around in. I can't imagine how i would feel if i loose him, it would be really sad for me.
