• We are now running on a new, and hopefully much-improved, server. In addition we are also on new forum software. Any move entails a lot of technical details and I suspect we will encounter a few issues as the new server goes live. Please be patient with us. It will be worth it! :) Please help by posting all issues here.

  • Nope. The first page I linked goes to his store, specifically the green/green TFOs. Listed for $90, and you'll get free install if you want.

With free install when you buy from him, I was able to ship my slide to him for about 5 bucks, and had it back in 4 days total. If you have any questions, feel free to email/call him. He's super helpful, and takes a lot of care with his installs, as well as had the lowest price I could find. (Keep in mind that you may find the sights for 60 or 70 bucks elsewhere, but it will cost you another 30-40 for instal from a gunsmith, and they probably won't do as good of a job.)

Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

They seem really sturdy. I was pretty timid with them at first, but I have thrown my gun to the ground a lot, ride ATVs really rough, and drive the tractor where I can see/feel the gun smacking into the frame as I ride along. After all this, no damage, and no broken vials.

As for the color combo, I have only personally used the green/green. I have seen pics of the others, and the general consensus online is that green/green is better. But really, it just comes down to personal preference. I don't think you can go wrong with that color.

If you do get them, or others, I suggest you buy from James. Here's the link to his TFO page: http://www.shop.xd-hs2000.com/A-TruGlo-Tritium-Fiber-Optic-Sights-Green-Front-Green-Rear-TFO.htm
Here's his page with reviews of many other types of sights: http://www.xd-hs2000.com/xd-hs2000/Sight_Profiles.html
(They restrict PMs to 1,000 words, so this might take a few.)

I absolutely love them. They are super bright at night with the tritrium, and the fibers really attract the light. I harvested a buck last season right at the break of dawn; had no trouble seeing them. Once I also was in a pitch black street with no lights, and had to draw on a group guys that were looking to "beat the sh*t outta" me, and I could see the dot's glowing like crazy. (Luckily I didn't have to shoot.)

The biggest benefit of the TFOs over the Trijicons is that with the TFOs, the light from the tritrium is sent through the fibers, just as the sunlight. This keeps the dot the same size all the time. With the Trijicons, the vials are in the middle of the dot. With this, you see the big dot during the day, and the small dot in the dark. This means your sight picture changes, which is something I don't want to have to deal with, especially in an intense self-defense situation.
