Not 100% on any contract simply an educated guess thereof.. Where big business is involved there usually exist a contract.

Your post that started this whole thing is quoted below:

Hi Folks

Summer is coming to an end and the NFL football season is here however not without controversy.

The Cleveland police department and members thereof were scheduled to roll out the flag for Sundays opening season game.. However the police union decided that due in part that many Cleveland Brown players are taking a knee as opposed to standing during the Anthem said members of the Cleveland police union will not be rolling out the flag.

If the NFL and or the Cleveland Browns organization contracted with the police and city to perform said function, the union would be in breach of contract. Contract aside I feel the police union is wrong on this issue.

The issue is an interesting constitutional issue. Said players are simply exercising their first amendment right, a right that said police union members swore an oath to uphold and defend, hence I feel they should take the high ground and perform the task at hand.

Interesting to note, when and if the owners bottom line starts to take a hit, I would imagine said kneeling practice would be abolished, until such time look for the practice of kneeling during the anthem to continue...

Thoughts, opinions.

Bold added by me for emphasis.....

So your entire argument is based wholly and entirely upon an "If" that you consider an "educated guess" pulled completely out of thin air presented throughout the thread as an actual valid point. And I'm sure that was done for the totally innocent purpose of instigating.... discussion.

No Sir, If there exist a contract then surely the police union is in the wrong, while I have not seen nor heard of any complaint from the NFL that the police union defaulted on any contract, reasonable minded folks that do big business in the big bad world will assume that a contract exist.

I also said, putting the contract element aside, what is the opinion of the folks here on the issue at bar.. Opening up a topic for discussion should not be construed as "instigation" as you accuse me thereof.

Now please express your opinion on the issue at bar without the conjecture thrown towards me.

And please be advised, I shall defend to the death your right to say what you feel even if I disagree with what you espouse. And I can only wish for the same courtesy in return.

Your ass u me umption that a contract between the police union and the NFL is nothing more than conjecture on your part pulled out of the thin air of you thinking there is a contract because you ass u me d there must be.

That ass u me umption on your part, an ass u me umption you unashamedly used to instigate a discussion where you could show your support for grandstanding limelight seeking social justice warriors masquerading as football players while also showing your disdain for the police who don't wish to be associated with those grandstanding limelight seeking social justice warriors masquerading as football players.

Your entire argument is built upon your unproven ass u me umption that there is a contract between the police union and the NFL in the first place. And, just as any evidence found during an illegal search is inadmissible in court as fruit of the poisonous tree so is your argument based upon an "IF there is a contract" that there is no evidence to support that such a contract exists.

And it is my opinion of the issue as your entire premise being nothing more than a vehicle for you to use in order to express your support of grandstanding limelight seeking social justice warriors masquerading as football players pushing their personal social justice agenda hoping to use the guise of exercising the right to free speech to give their actions, and your support of those actions, some semblance of validity. Along with using an unproven ass u me umption that the police union is somehow in the wrong and deserving of condemnation because there might be a contract just because you said there might be one without having any proof of such a contract.

Not pig Latin but spelling it out so there is no mistake as to my meaning.

What I am in favor of is if you are going to be a supporter of grandstanding limelight seeking social justice warriors exercising their right to free speech while being paid to be football players then it would only be honorable for you to extend that support to the police officers exercising their right to free speech by NOT supporting those grandstanding limelight seeking social justice warriors masquerading as football players.

Sauce for the goose/sauce for the gander. But then, for all your talk about....

Again Sir, last I checked those football players did not swear an oath to the constitution and if some did, they have a right to exercise their right.. Until the owners or sponsors aka employers deem otherwise...

Again your position in support of the police union is so noted.. I can only a ss umme as you say, that you also support qualified immunity?.. Police unions and QI in my unlearned opinion is close to one and the same.. And again your support is noted.

You claim to support the Constitution however you love cops and you favor QI and police unions, you can't have your goose and sauce and eat it too.. However I respect your right in supporting whatever makes you feel good..

Whether tis nobler in the mind to suffer the slings of arrows of outrageous fortune;
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles and by opposing and them..

Mixed metaphor good enough for Shakespeare's (Hamlet) surely good enough for me.

And there you go again making an "ass" out of "u" and "me" by ass u me ing that my disagreement with you about your attempting to hold the self aggrandizing limelight seeking social justice warriors being paid to play football in a favorable light by creating a controversy about the police union and a contract with the NFL that you don't know exists using the circular logic that such a contract should exist because it makes sense for there to be one so there must be one yet you cannot provide any proof of said contract somehow means I love cops and support qualified immunity.

And here is a prime example of your attempting to bolster your argument by not so cleverly stating your previous assumptions as fact:

-snip-Again your position in support of the police union is so noted.. I can only a ss umme as you say, that you also support qualified immunity?.. Police unions and QI in my unlearned opinion is close to one and the same.. And again your support is noted.

You claim to support the Constitution however you love cops and you favor QI and police unions-snip-

You Sir, assume a great deal yet have no proof those assumptions are valid or credible nor is stating those assumptions as fact a very clever method of bolstering your arguments with the tactic of diminishing my responses with your ass u me umptions.

Now, please provide cites and/or links to actual factual proof, not assumptions, that a contract between the NFL and the police union in regards to rolling out the flag actually exists. Failure to do so exposes your entire premise as nothing more than a not so clever way for you to cast aspersions upon the police while aggrandizing a group of limelight seeking social justice warriors selfishly co-opting the media coverage generated by their employer in order to push their personal agenda when they are being paid to play football.

You ain't Shakespeare, and that mixed metaphor is an evidence of Hamlet's psychosis. If you will quote Shakespeare then quote him properly.
