Going to be visiting vegas in a few weeks and wanted to know if the hotels on the strip allow open carry for their guest while they ingress and egress the hotel. I am not interested in carry in their casinos or on their property other than to enter or exit my room.

Generally speaking (without knowing the specific property) the answer is no they don't.

Yes you can carry anywhere in Vegas that does not have a metal detector. I carry all up and down the strip. You can carry into the marriage office if you plan on tying the knot while there.

To the OP:

While the above is true, and it is not against the law to open carry wherever you please (accept as prohibited by Federal law) if you do onto private property the owner or his representative may ask you to leave and if you don't leave immediately you are subject to arrest for trespassing.

As this applies to your original question, it is my understanding that none of the hotels on "The Strip" will allow you to carry a firearm (if they know that have one, and if you open carry they will know) on their property.

I hope you will enjoy your visit to Vegas and please bring lots of money with you.

The same goes with most hotels with casinos in other Nevada cities, Reno, Sparks, Carson City. Casino security will ask you to remove yourself or your firearm from the casino if they see it.

Thanks

Thanks to all for your help. Does anyone know of any hotel/motel that tolerates open carry by their guest?

I do not know of any hotel that is gun friendly. I have seen a few posting over the years where some have checked their firearm in with security of a hotel and said they were professional and it worked for them. I do not remember the hotel. Pick out the hotel you want to use call and ask them what options and process they have for a legal gun owner customer who carries a firearm for safety.
