This guy who chopped up his gun blames himself for 'gun violence' in America. Where is the logic in this statement? Let's see... People get killed by drunk drivers so I feel responsible and must get my car crushed in a crusher and dump my stash of booze. There have been so many stabbings in America...I must destroy all my kitchen knives. i could go on. Why does this guy feel so guilty???

I feel partly responsible for the high rate of obesity in this country (even though I try to exercise by biking and don't intentionally overeat), so I have decided to cut up all my forks, spoons, and other eating utensils.

I feel partly responsible for the high rate of diabetes in this country (even though I don't include sweets as a staple in my normal diet), so I have decided to smash up my sugar jar.
#onelesssugarjar

I feel partly responsible for the arsonists who start fires which engulf homes and kill those inside (even though I am not careless with matches or indoor flames), so I have decided to break all my matches.
#onelessmatch #onelessmatchbox

I feel partly responsible for the photographers who invade others' privacy (even though I myself am not a "peeping Tom"), so I have decided to cut up my camera.
#onelesscamera

I feel partly responsible for the existence of child pornography (even though I don't engage in its manufacture, distribution, etc.), so I have decided to snap my laptop in half to destroy one more access to the Internet.
#onelesslaptop

I feel partly responsible for the hostage situations in the American southwest (even though I myself have never taken anyone hostage, nor have any plans to), so I have decided to slice through my rope.
#onelessrope

I feel partly responsible for the "culture of rape" in America (even though I haven't raped anyone; weird how I could be a male and go so long without raping or trying to rape someone?), so I have decided to cut my own... phallus.
#onelessphallus

:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

To borrow (and paraphrase):
Disarming yourself because you think there are too many "gun deaths" is like castrating yourself because you think your neighbor has too many kids.

Give him want he thinks he deserves, a prison sentence. I bet his attention-seeking anti rhetoric would change abruptly.

Seeing as it was a puny 9mm I'd get rid of it too. But, I would have sold it.

why get rid of the 9?

it is the most common round in military use currently.

although when they switch over I believe they are going to the 40.. maybe back to the 45.. in which case.. i'm covered for one.. not the other.

The 9mm Parabellum round is old and outdated. We should move to a slightly more modern round... like the .45 ACP*!:p

Just yanking your chain, like I'm sure OC for ME was.

Maybe that's what he shoots best with...

I shoot best with my 9mm Beretta 92FS.

I use to shoot my 1911 but I'm getting older now and I have better control with the 9mm.

Old Marine here... my first pistol instructor when I was active duty back in the 70's said one thing that has stuck with me for all these years...

Shoot what you can hit with.... if you can't hit anything... then the round has no knock down power...you can be shooting 30mm cannon shells, but if you can't hit anything with it... it has no knock down power.

But the explosions and earth shaking will be resounding! The blast effect will knock the enemy down close up. Didn't they use this technique in nam to destroy viet cong tunnels?

I think I'll stick to my 357. Thinking of getting .25 cal. Heard it is a good round used by police.
