For those who may not be aware, although not posted at any of their stores, Sprouts Farmers Market is not friendly to any mode of carry. This was their response to my inquiry:

"Thank you for taking the time to share thoughts ideas about our decision to prohibit firearms in our stores. Please understand that we recognize and respect our customers’ rights under the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution, a right that prohibits the government (but not private retailers) from infringing on citizens’ right to bear arms. That right, however, must be balanced with our need as a retailer to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our customers and team members. That's why, after careful and thoughtful analysis, we have decided to prohibit our customers and our team members from bringing firearms onto our store premises. This decision is consistent with Arizona law, which allows property owners and businesses to prohibit the carrying of firearms within their premises.
While this decision may disappoint some of our valued customers, such as yourself, we stand by our decision and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback from our communities about it. We hope that you will continue to be a part of the Sprouts family notwithstanding our decision on this issue. We value your patronage and hope to see you again soon.

It's a real shame, as I have been a customer of Sprouts for years. I let them know that I will just be taking their ad to Walmart and price match everything; they didn't care.

Cork sucking, Farking ice holes they are! Do they provide for their "valued" customers safety? They have well trained armed guards and metal detectors at every door? No? Guess then their "valued" customers lives are worthless to them then! :(

A pox on their houses for putting peoples lives at risk. :banghead:

I missed their sign and have open carried into their Tulsa location twice. I even had to talk to the manager and he said nothing about it.

Sprouts is the same in Texas as of last month!

In Texas Sprouts just posted so called 30.06 sign prohibiting carry by license holders. I talked to the regional manager who holds a permit to carry and told me she'll fix it. Then when I followed up she told me there's nothing she can do because it was a corporate decision from Arizona and directed me to call customer service from Phoenix. When I did the lady just replied to my comment that she will submit it to legal.... This is not a legal issue this is a customer service issue..... It is obvious that some genius up in corporate is scared of guns.... They even had some hide and run drills at their store in Cedar Hill, Texas in case of a person with a gun..... Just plain ignorant.... I will go ahead and take my business somewhere else.

Just saw this thread. Had problems at the Las Vegas Sprouts last April. Wrote them and got them to remove the signs. The manager invited me to search him out at my next visit. We were advised that we were welcome in the store OC. Some months later we noticed they again had signs up. Since we were there we went in anyway and bought some stuff with no problems. It is my policy to not shop with those posting so we have not been back since.

We are now having problems with Von's/Safeway. Have been shopping with them for years OC with no problem. Now they are posting their stores. I have written them with no response. Until they change their policy, they have lost my rather sizable business.

Any problems over there in AZ with them?

Sorry brother, but I haven't been in a Safeway in years; they are too expensive.

I stopped shopping at "Safeway" (there's a oxymoron) when I learned they were sponsoring "gun buy backs" in Phoenix.
 Fry's or Wally World have better selection & prices anyways IMHO.

I just noticed a new sign posted at the Sprouts on Higley in Mesa... was not pleased as I shop there almost every day to get a sandwich/dinner stuff. As a matter or principle I don't patronize anti-gun businesses, so it will definitely suck if they don't take the sign down - I love their sandwiches! I sent them an e-mail through the website, but I imagine I will get a canned response like the OP in this thread. If I get nowhere with the e-mail I will try and talk to the store manager and see if he doesn't want my money anymore.

I just visited Sprouts with my elderly mother for the first time today. I saw their non-state issued sign that said no firearms. I went to my car and put my gun away. Their signs are just stickers on their windows. Do they need a state issued no gun sign or what? Any help would be great.

For private property, any sign they put up is legal.

This is a trespassing issue. They are stating the conditions to enter their property. If you ignore the sign theoretically you can be arrested for trespassing. It is a not a "misconduct with weapons" crime.

The only state standard for signs is where alcohol is served. However regardless of the signage it is illegal to carry openly or to carry without a valid permit where booze is sold for consumption.

Maybe in AZ but previous poster said he's in Colorado. Here the signs have no force of law and you have to be asked to leave and refuse before you can be cited, including liquor stores, bars etc. I thought AZ was Constitutional Carry anyway regarding permits.

IMHO OCers should shop for groceries at Kroger stores (they have organic products too) anyway, since they have openly stated they support State laws regarding OC. Screw Sprouts.

The wife and I shop at a couple of different locations here in the Las Vegas area. One is posted, one is not. The wife spoke to the manager of the posted store and he basically said ignore it. The sign is there as an aide to trespass those who are armed and deemed by them to be "suspicious." No one ever says word one about our carry.

Permits are optional in Arizona but to legally enter an establishment that serves booze to drink, three conditions must be met:

1. The establishment is NOT posted "no firearms."

2. You must carry "concealed."

3. You must have a CCW permit.

Yep^

While AZ has some good gun laws, (oxymoron there), we are far from perfect. We have our fair share (some say more), of Anti-2A folks here too.

On topic - Sprouts can ban the most lawful segment of society if they please. I will take my money else where. ;)

Now I wonder how many criminals those silly stickers have deterred??? Reminds me of this bit of fantasy:

#1 gun friendliest state in the union according to gunsandammo.com

They did their research independent of the Brady Bunch who rank you #3 behind Alaska and Utah (which makes no sense).

Thanks Dario, we know we are #1 on the G&A list. But we also know we've got work to do, and it would be a feather in old former mayor of NYC Mr. DOOMBERG's cap to get anti rights (2A) laws passed here. He's already dumping $$$$ & paid staffers here in prep for the 2016 ballot measures ... :(

Frys FTW

I also OC/CC at Frys, I've never had a problem and at one point I have thanked a Manager who in return has thanked me for carrying. :monkey:banana::cool:

Since Rusty has given me different anti/pro gun biz cards I now will make sure to use them should the need arise. As bad as it may sound I can't wait to give my first anti-gun card to a Manager of a store which prohibits carry, I hope then they may understand that money has just walked out of their establishment.
