Suggest you look into the state statues and local statues for this information rather than Joe Blow Internet Troll giving you bad advice that ends up with your butt in the can, right?

The law assumes you already know.

Bellevue Businesses OC

I live in Bellevue, been in several businesses Walmart , Menards, No Frills, O'Reilly, Family Video, Westlake Hardware without incident. I did notice Salvation Army Store put up a tiny "no weapons" sign recently, noticed it on my way out with 9mm on my hip.

You can't Open carry in Omaha city limits without a CHP or A Permit that you have to take a $105 course, or $125-$150 for CHP Class $100 for CHP Permit.

Why did you post all this when I said the same in a few sentences, 1st since the guy with the original question does not live in Omaha he doesn't need to register with city of Omaha his handgun, 2nd you don't need a Permit to Purchase to Open Carry in Ne, only to purchase a weapon and 3rd you either take the course by the Omaha Chapter National Council on Safety, Cost $105 Omaha permit included (only need to Register W/OPD if a city resident) OR obtain a NE CHP, Cost $125-$150 for Class $100 for permit from NSP!

"All of this"? Really? I posted a link to previous thread. Don't see where that should even be a question.

BTW - doesn't make any difference if he actually lives in Omaha. Does affect him if he happens to visit there.

Sorry, but your wrong. You don't need to register your weapon with Omaha Police Dept if you are not a resident of Omaha, and a CHP allows you to OC in Omaha, Don't believe me call Omaha Police.

City Laws

Omaha

An identification card is required for those who wish to open carry in the city of Omaha. This card is issued to those who have completed an approved firearm training program (8-10 hours in classroom, 2 hours on shooting range). A notable exception to this is that one may open carry if he possesses a valid CHP.
- Omaha Municipal Code (Sec. 20-206,207)
