Preemption does not apply?

Jeffersonville, IN has banned "weapons" during the Thunder Over Louisville event.

• Unauthorized Vehicles (ATV's and 4-wheelers)
• Laser Pointers
• Pets

Why does state preemption not apply at this event?

Glass bottles? Bicycles? Just give the serfs a list of what they are permitted to bring.:rolleyes:

If you want to be a test case, but don't want the legal troubles of the firearm part, just eat a ton of spicy stuff before you get to the event, then find one of the people that wrote up such asinine prohibitions and let loose with a long-winded discussion of why they have overstepped their authority.:lol:

It doesn't say I can't bring a flame-thrower....I'm good.

Also "open carry of alcohol"? I guess if you put in in a brown paper bag like a homeless person you are ok as it would be concealed carry.

I notice no ban on burning crosses. We all know why.

But IN is generally pro-gun. This ban is not worth the paper its written on.
