Sorry to have missed this one, but with complications from the knee replacement surgery and atypical pneumonia, I just could not be there.

Well,,,

OK, Sooo we did it!

I stayed up all night! So I wouldnt sleep through my alarm,,, funny, that works, every time...

Got there on time, and met up with,,,
1911er,Clay
DocB,??? and his buddy Arron
The CA2373,Catherine showed up and had to play with the baby that was there, it made her smile!
Sooo 5 of us.
We are now the biggest, longest running meet and greet in Washington state! Cool...
Oddly,,, no emnofseattle,eric... curious.

After,,, Catherine and I drove our cars to the Fred Mayer to look at the gun thingies they have for sale.
Didnt buy any,,, but we Did learn the secret handshake needed to buy 22lr..

The gun manager fawned ALL over my 1911 and home made belt slide holster...
Talked for a while.

On my way home I stopped in Goarst for tobacco.. Talked to 2 guys about the
uproar in store if our state trys to pull a registration requirement like the fools in Connecticut did!
See how well that is working out for them!!!!
What are they going to do with the 10's of thousands of brand new Felons,, created with the stroke of the pen?

To his question, I explained the he too can open carry like I was, and he didnt need
to wait to get his CPL,,, just unload before you get in the car, and dont let your clothes cover your gun...

Gave him a flyer and the fire arm safety, the law and you booklet...

The weather was terrible,,, But it was a Good Day!!!!

I needed my kid fix!

58 people showed up! What a great turn out. Thanks to everyone who came out to show their support for OC. 1245A Defender won the Colt Python in the raffle! I hear there is going to be another gun raffle next month.

Hi everyone hope everyone has been doing well. Sorry for my extended absence from the monthly meetings my night job was keeping me busy due to a lack of staffing. A few weeks ago I started a new job I am going back to being a full time EMT again. My entire adult life I have been going to bed at 6am but now I have to start work at 5am. It is a change but a good change. I started the new job February 1st and I have had a lot of little stuff to get done. My days off rotate but hope to make it out when I can. Nice to see the meeting is still going on

I have my CDL too, and I feel ya. What company did you go to work for OTR? Did you go to CDS in Port Orchard? I have my Class A but I have never really used it. I can't see well enough at night to drive the big trucks.

Defender is that a cap and ball I can't exactly tell from the pic. I have a Remington 1858 and love it. I do not have a holster for it otherwise I would love to open carry it. I do not see very many people open carry a cap and ball but I have seen a few do it. I just love a good black powder gun and their history

I'm still pretty much open for the week.

I'll think of a time and place. I got friends and relatives keeping my cell ringing so I'll have to start arranging times, but I'll find a time to do a little OC meet up if people wish to do so.

I'm sorry again for not posting before the meet that I wouldn't be there. I've been in Fontana California since the 10th of Feb and just got back home late last night.

I need to get a new nipple for my 1858 the threads got chewed up so I am down one shot on the cylinder.

Please bring that cyclinder, Nipple, and nipple wrench to me at the meet,, or PM me so I can get them from you..
Chances are good that my tools, experiance and skill in thread restoration can restore that chamber!
If I am right,, Youll be happy, and Ill feel useful...
