One of us is a rogue :)

Re: http://www.eye95.com/home.html

"This is an experience in staying in touch with the good folks from the once-great (now, not so good) OCDO. Hardly any rules yet. If it ain't working, we'll delete things and change things to make it work. We are hoping for rational, honest discussion, like we used to get at OCDO, before the cadre and a rogue moderator mucked it up.
"

Apparently it's OK there to attack other gun rights organizations for other than their opposition to OC.....especially if you don't like them, their rules, or the administration.

"We are open to all initially--even members of the cadre or Grapeshot. However, if need be, if they bring the crap here, we'll do something about that."

Obviously no dissenting opinions allowed = just the party line. The site is private property though, so the owner can do what ever he pleases. Still I am flattered to be recognized by user name.

"You post your ideas on the subject above. No referencing the posts of others or other posters. Period.OK, two rules. All vulgarity will be edited by us."

Primary rule would seem to be: You can post your ideas and he will delete them. Apparently no membership/user role/list will be publicly available as that would be "referencing" "other posters."

Note that bolding is mine and my observations are posted in blue. I wish him well - will check back in the months ahead to see how he is doing.

The imperial we, a mouse in his pocket to make wee? They have a fundamental misunderstanding of vulgarity, perhaps that they would redefine. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vulgarity
Just to clarify - those are not my words, but rather quoted from the web site.

Sometimes I prefer the collective/imperial form (we) as it defines a more uniform front and/or informs of a standard....at least we think so.

Remember grandma's words well - "Don't be coarse."

Grandpa said it better - "Vulgarity demonstrates that the speaker lacks command of the English language."

Yes, but sometimes those vulgar words are the only words to get an idiots attention.

Well boys and girls, what has been learned from this? What can we glean from this defiant act to strengthen this clubhouse?

One thing that seems apparent is that this forum is not employing membership/user role/list monikers to the advantage of the newcomer and / or our brethren with alzheimers.

I hereby make a motion that in addition to the current member role identifiers of Founding Member, Campaign Veteran, Regular Member, there be added to the list two new unique and descriptive member roles:

1. The Cadre

2. Rouge Moderator [RM as a term of endearment]

Discussion is open concerning the "qualifiers" for each.

Personally, I would think members with commitment to cause, a "Death to Tyrants" tattoo, a warning or two from a Mod concerning defiance towards authority figures.... would be all worthy of consideration for "The Cadre" epithet.

The second user role, well, without any possible disparaging of any particular Mod, the nom de guerre could be assigned in the manner the Prince identified Cinderella....

And to be all inclusive, there could be a special designator "IFW" for the incessant whiner.

This may all seem unnecessary to some, however, with this new development, we all must apply whatever we can to maintain our piece of the open carry and liberty pie.

ETA: Anyone want to get in on a pool wagering on who the first Mod will be on the new forum?

Will there be a discussion forum entitled "The Denial Room"?

How about "The Statist Report"?

"The Whiner's Lounge?

Or how about "Your Rights. Simply Something To Overcome", hosted by a government thug that can explain reasonably why members should willingly be led to slaughter.

I'm gonna be torn all day between maintaining my "bitter clinger" status and turning a new leaf and becoming submissive so I'm acceptable @....."TFTSNBNH". [THAT Forum That Shall Not Be Named Here]

The Blog has not been turned on yet - supposedly waiting for a certain citizen to make the first offering (by invitation) prior to activating.

RM? That would be me. Maybe I should enter an Alford plea, but that would seem to lack civility under the circumstances.

You? I thought you were the owner.

Funny how this is at least the 2nd site that eye has been banned off of - at least the one's I know of. Wonder when he's going to get a clue where the problem be.....

The owners are both attorneys and executive members of VCDL: John Pierce and Mike Stollenwerk, John acts as the Administrator.

I answer the phone, take messages, push buttons, and serve at their pleasure. I do operate with a proprietary interest foremost in my mind. Called decisions are subject to review and reversal - that hasn't happened yet. Would consider that a failure on my part for not accurately concluding what John and/or Mike would want.

From what other site(s) has the individual been banned?

I asked for the first rule to be a "No Moving On" policy.

Be careful with that Pro se stuff.

I think, perhaps, liberty only seems ironic in the ways in which you do not understand it... I think if liberty seems ironic, at least when it is to the extend that it would appear "true" or "full" liberty is an impossibility, that area of liberty which you are seeing is probably an area which could use some focused study.

Edit: this is not a slam against eye95, just my thoughts on the issue presented on his site.
