I've been to the Commons once. I used the east entrance. I remember a No Firearms sign upon entering. This would have been in late 2010/ early 2011. I haven't been back since, though. Things may have changed.

OC'd at the Bonney Lake Walmart last night. I noticed they charged to much for a bottle of rum so I went to the service counter to get my money back. As I was finishing up this guy says to the cashier, "Yeah, you better do what he says! He's got a gun!"
The cashier suddenly notices that I am in fact carrying and says, "Oh, my God!"
I turned to look at Doofus, "I don't carry to intimidate and you are causing unnecessary attention to me and you."
He ignored me and just kept blabbing. He was very excited. "This state is crazy! I've never seen anything like it. People are just strapped everywhere they go!"
He was far to loud for my liking so I collected my groceries and left. He was obviously not an Anti. Just an idiot.
I just don't understand the attraction some people have to being loud and yelling, "Look at me! Look at me! I'm important! Everybody pay attention to me!"

I frequent That Wal Mart almost every day. So far have not had any issues like that, thank goodness. I didnt leave the house today, so I have nothing to report. Well I did go out in the yard.

Well, not detained... but contact was made.

Took my son to Seatac for his flight back to NYC. We preprinted his boarding pass so all we had to do was get in the security line which turned out to be several miles long today. While watching him go thru the line, some TSA officers kept me under watch, then pointed me out to a plainclothes person with a earpiece. After about 35 mins a Port Police officer made contact with me.

My phone was on my belt so audio did not work to repost (will remember that for next time). The conversation went like this;
OF- I know Open Carry is legal BUT...
Me- I am waiting for my son right there in the green shirt, as soon as he is thru the check point I will be on my way.
OF- Well, could you just put it in your car for now
me- No, as soon as he is thru I will be leaving. Unless you will walk him thru security and to his gate?
Of- No sir, I can't do that... be aware that a supervisor will make contact.

After a bit a female officer walked right in front of me (personal space close) to join the other officer(1st pic). About 15 mins later, 2 more officers showed up(2nd pic). No more contact was made with the officers except for me giving the a hand salute on my way out.

Had I been paying attention to my phone while I was typing this up, my son could have got a $300 voucher to be bumped to the next flight. Maybe next time...

Good job Bill!

I have been there several times over the last few years with no incidents. I know others have had more drastic ones there.

Me and my two kids went to the Fuji Japanese Steakhouse (Lacey) for my 51st Bday. I dressed up a little bit, but still OC'd my usual OD Green Taurus 24/7 9mm. Not a single comment even after I was singled out to stand up for the "happy Bday" song. The one thing I realized is that I need a stainless or chrome 1911 for special occasions. Then I walked to Wally World to get some last minute things. Come out to Lake Fair in Olympia and see South Puget Sound Mobile Search & Rescue 7/19 - 7/22!

Drove out of the South Sound today. First stopped at the truck stop at exit 99 south of Olympia. It was very busy so I got gas and hit the road.

Finally arrived in the Dalles OR. spent the day around town. The park, Tonys, out to dinner and finally the rodeo. Just a single question as to what I was carrying.

I haven't open carried much the last couple months due to me primarily using a IWB holster and gaining a few pounds. lol Anyway I got a new Serpa for the Sig and I've worn it pretty much non stop I really like it! Couple things I have noticed is that there is a big difference between a IWB with shirt tucked behind it, to a full on open carry holster. Much more attention, which for the cause is a good thing.

22nd 9pm safeway lakewood went off without a hitch, nice 40ish year old guy asked if I get hassled alot for OC. He was supposidly told by a cop that you have to have the gun unloaded if you open carry. Informed him and told him about this website. Several people gawked, store security guy was clearly following me for a bit. overall non eventful.

23rd 10am Stans headers Auburn. Pulled in and saw a 1911 sign on the door with a bunch of writing under it. Thought maybe it was a no guns sign, so I slipped my gun out and put it in the vehicle safe. Walked in and noticed it was a pro 2nd sign and said it was encouraged at the facility. Picked up my stainless tube for my customers Harley exhaust and before I could get on my way back to tig weld up some goodness. Had a nice conversation about gun rights, suppressors, his PMR30 half a dozen other gun topics. Great Encounter!!! Even said he wished someone was carrying in that theater and could probably have saved some lives.

23rd 3pm 7-11 Lakewood I shop here a couple times a day every day. It's next to my shop. They all know me very well. even repaired one of the guys cars. However I saw him look down at my side 3-4 times, and kept an eye on me. Strange since they know me well and were my shop is. but nothing said.

24th 10am Keybank Lakewood Open Carry with my guns and coffee hoodie on. Deposited checks for the shop talked for a bit about the weather. never a peep, I've carried here often in the past with a less conspicuous holster and never had a issue either.

24th noon Burger King, They know me here as well. Nothing said at all smiles all around. Until I was leaving, two employees sitting by the door. One I know and someone that looks to be a new girl. New girl kind of flushed face, As the door is closing the other girl says "there you can stop freaking out..." Shrug, You never know why somone is scared of guns. Maybe they were mugged, Family hurt, just unfamiliar... I think all we can do as responsible citizens is OC, set a good example and the more of it people like that see, hopefully they realize it's nothing to be scared about.

24th 3pm Lowes Lakewood, very uneventful. One guy asked me If I liked Kimbers, talked for a bit, and said thanks for Carrying. He lost his ability to carry, and regrets it everyday. Said he thinks situations like Colorado would be less likely if more people used their rights.

24th 7-11 lakewood different than the normal one I goto. Guy says nice hoodie with a smile. Asked if I get harrased by cops for OC, told him not yet. Mostly weird looks from people that don't know the laws or, are simply not gun people. He said he loves guns and said he liked my 1911, (was carrying a Sig in my Serpa). I said it's a Sig, He said cool... and asked if it was loaded. Said of course it is what good is a unloaded gun. He told me the same thing the guy said a few days ago. A local cop told him OC requires the gun to be unloaded. I told him to read the RCW, and that he was mislead. As I was walking out he said "Don't shoot anyone!" As the door closed behind me, I spun around and opened the door and said comments like that are uncalled for and a real problem as far as I am concerned. Joking about killing people is imature and if he was serious about loving guns, he wouldn't make such comments.

OC at my shop most days, It's obvious if you come to my shop that I like guns. Targets hanging on the wall behind my desk. I replaced my desk counter mat of AC system componentlayout to one of a Springfield XD cleaning mat. Most of my customers are Military and I modify or repair their sports cars, and help decide on their next arms purchase.

So far I haven't had a bad experience. But it concerns me that twice I have been told that Leo's have told people the guns need to be empty.

That sign was created by me. Stan was at the gun show and was looking through the OC picture album and saw the sign. I told him I could have a few for him the next day.... and the rest is history. Stan usually has a table ta the show, showing off his wares. You usually find him in a bright shirt (flames).

Went with my auction partner and my boy to do some gun shopping in the Olympia area. Stopped into Cash Northwest first since we had done some business with them last month to the tune of $2400. This time we had $3k cash to lay down. While we were looking at about our 5th firearm the lady that runs the place asked me if my sidearm was loaded to which I answered politely and proudly "Yes Ma'am." Her response "well did you see our sign outside, no loaded firearms in the store." I figured it meant if you were bringing in to consign or pawn. So I said "oh, well, have a nice day." And we and our $3k walked out. They didn't have a problem with me having it last time and I don't recall the sign last time. But while they weren't outright against OC they were definitely against loaded carry. So I won't be doing business with them anymore.

We did happily take our money and business to Tumwater Pawnbrokers in Tumwater and though their selection was a bit skimpy we laid down cash on their counter. They didn't have a problem with my carry and the young guy (son of the owner Barney) asked me what I carried. They had some great signs in there and were very friendly. I would certainly do business with them again and would recommend if you need to pawn something or want to buy something with a reasonable price, go see them.

We also stopped in Cascade Arms after having a decent lunch at Dirty Daves. Both places were very friendly and didn't seem adverse to OC. One of the guys behind the counter at Cascade was even OC. They had some nice toys and I sure wish I had some money to spend there on myself.

Had a very good day today. Went to Tokyo steakhouse to get some sauce I forgot lastnight when we eat there lastnight. I was of both times. Today though one of the waitresses said is that a gun I've never seen someone carry one. Sparked a good conversation until she asked to hold it. I told her no way that is illeagle to pull out a firearm just to show it. Later in the day took all 4of my kids to quick pick in auburn. Most of the people there were a little older and I was met with disbelieve that I was carrying. Even the workers were a little sketchy. After a while everything seemed ok then a couple came up asking questions. That sparked a great conversation about guns. He owns just doesn't carry. I told him my family safety it first as should be his. He agreed. Told him
About ocdo and we may see another member hopefully.
