Figures, the one time I'm not listening to good old Conservative radio something local and interesting happens. What was the topic, and is there anyway for me to hear the broadcast now that its over?

OC on a hike

Took a hike up to Yellow Aster Butte today, lots of people on the trail, and I talked to a half dozen singles/couples/groups, but no comments on the OC. I did run into two Border Patrol agents on the way down and chatted with them about why they were up on that trail. No comment on the OC from them either, although the agent I wasn't primarily speaking with did move about 10 feet to my right and back a little bit while I talked to the other. ;-)

I was stopped by a school bus driver on this morns dog walk. I see him parked there each day, waiting between school starts. Usually it's just a hello and a wave, but I guess he got brave. He hit me with all the usual questions and comments. He has a CPL but cannot carry while working. My reply was "Carry the rest of the time", he answered the usual "I should"

You can listen live or download it as an mp3 file.

You have to scroll down to 9/19/2011 and look for The Morning Show with Joe and Patti. The topic was the woman shooting a burglar.

Edit: Whoops, tried to put it in as a link and I must have typed the code in wrong. Just cut and paste the url.

PS It's about the 15 minute mark. Pretty decent discussion. I liked the fact that you got in the point about not shooting to wound. Too many movies if people think that is an effective way to stop an attacker.

Stopped by Spencers in the mall at Mt Vernon, Spirit halloween too.
Spirit halloween in B.ham, Dennys(lennys),all the usual places
I did overhear a comment at the ReStore. There was an elderly gentleman who made the comment "you don't see that very often!"My headache did not allow for snappy banter at the time, so I just went about my shopping.

Nobody but me at this mornings Starbucks meet. Sky are you still out there?

Well, I was there in spirit. Though I guess that doesn't count for much when it comes to OC'ing. Sunday at 10 is just not a good time for me, but I will endeavor to be there in person this coming Sunday.

Sorry I missed yesterday John got up early and then had to go back to bed, bad headache.

Did end up going to town later in the day, Goodwill, Big 5, Deals only, Trader Joes.

Hey, guys. Sorry I've not shown on Sunday.
I have been working on my truck. Paint. Almost done. Spraying clear coat today.
Than, I have to put it all back together.

MSG, it sucks to be the only one that shows up. Feel for 'ya, brother.

OK, than. Everyone on board for next Sunday.
10am. Bakerview Starbucks. 10/09/11.

Well hell, I might try to make it. It's only about a 30 min drive up I-5. Bakerview Starbucks @ 10am Sunday? I'll do what I can. Will likely end up bring the Mrs and the wee ones as we'd turn it into a family fun day. :D

Midweek Meet

And if it's midweek I bet I can be there too.

Not much exciting happening, OC everywhere but no reactions that I can tell.

Although after about my 3rd visit to Everything In Sight optical they did ask if I was LEO.

I did think I was going to catch some flack when I OC'ed to pick up my grandson at a house where a baby shower was being held. Spent about 20 minutes visiting and getting Kyle's stuff together but none of the dozen or so women there seemed to be alarmed. ;-)
