This bill is designed to do one thing: allow citizens who are legally eligible to possess handguns to carry that handgun without obtaining a costly, burdensome and bureaucratic permit.

One of the chief advantages this bill presents is that citizens are not put on any government tracking list merely for carrying the tools for self defense. Citizens in Vermont, Alaska and Arizona currently enjoy that right, and Wyoming could be joining that list in the next few months.

I the Wisconsin Legislature stabs us in the back on this, I can guarantee you that I and thousands of others state wide will be working for their ouster come election time...

Another state going in the direction we want to go.
A good reminder to all of us if we want to make this happen in Wisconsin then we need to contact every lawmaker we can and have all our friends and family do the same. We need to make phone calls, write letters, send e-mail's, text, tweet and facebook. Use every way possible to get our message out there and we need to do this every day of every week until they hear us loud and clear. Now is our time if we unite and push foreward until we reach our intended goal. We need to stop wishing for somebody to do this for us and realize that we are the somebodys, we are the constituents, we are the citizens, we are the voice of freedom in this state. Our policy makers need to know they work for us, we are the boss, we are in charge, their opinions are second to ours. If we make enough noise it will be impossible to ignore us. To many states are going in the direction of constitutional carry. If we don't take advantage of the momentum in this country right now it will be years until we get another chance. UNITED WE WILL STAND.

Is there anything by a news agency about this? I can't find any reference to it on Colorado Carry....

I just got home from vacation in Vail and did catch a few stories about this on the hews out there. Overall it was very fair coverage and most of all just plan common sense!

I hope it catches on here in Wisconsin, common sense that is
