So after getting my CHP I realized a "super tuck" holster is way way outside of my price range. $70-$100 easy for a holster that allows one to tuck in a shirt. I have to remain super concealed while in certain locals- and I always have to wear dress clothes.. So I came up with a "ghetto" solution.

2 Belts! I wear two belts. Here's how it works..

I have an "inner belt" that runs through some gaps in the sewing on the Inside of my dress pants- similar to belt loops but they were just inseams for the pockets.

Get your favorite formed leather holster and loop it into the "inner Belt" .

Put on your Undershirt and then put on your dress pants and tuck the inner shirt into the inner belt.

Strap in your pistol and put on your Outter dress shirt.

Tuck this dress shirt over your inner belt- but in between the inner belt and the waistband of your dress pants.

Put on your outter dress belt.

Problem solved.

Gets a little hot and sweaty but not bad in an average 8 hour day. Well worth it.

Pictures.

I made that hook out of an old hanger. I hook the inside of the belt buckle onto the waistband or outside belt. This secures the inside belt at the front and supports the weight of the holstered pistol.

High Noon offers cheaper tuckable holsters as well....their cheapest models are no frills models kept in stock for a selection of the most popular handguns.....both my holsters (CC & OC) are High Noon.

Thank you, Sir.

I've been looking into having some custom metal clips fabricated that would clip to the waistband and attach to the existing belt loops in my leather holster.

Anyone do that kind of handy work? I can't imagine the metal itself costing more than a dollar. I'll pay for you're time.. PM me.

If I were there we could take care of it in short order but...
Tandy leather (3 Denver and 1 Colorado Springs locations) has all the supplies you would need.

You would want 2 clips and some rivets (and a rivet setter.) Probably $10 and 20 minutes.

Ouch...clever but complicated solution. You can get IWB holsters cheaper than 70 bucks. Look at Midway or Cheaper than Dirt. Personally, I don't like them. Just let my shirt cover the holster when I want to conceal--if I'm not wearing a coat. Use a Fobus and Blade-Tech for my 1911s; Uncle Mikes for the others.
