quote: Owning a website such as www.handgunlaw.us is both a blessing and a curse.
It's a blessing as we are able to share information worldwide regarding firearms law, as those laws change. We're very proud of our history since 2006, and the fact that we've been able to help keep millions of site visitors both safe and legal with accurate and up-to-date changes - almost as they occur.
It is a curse because of the changes in the leadership of our great country, as the administration's anti-firearm agenda is further pursued, once again our servers have been overwhelmed with traffic. This has again started causing over-bandwidth or bandwidth limit exceeded messages to our visitors, instead of their being able to access the information.
We are now transferring an average of 11 gigs of data per day.
In conversations with our web hosting company, it appears the only way to fix this is to upgrade our account. The upgrade is significant this time.
Frankly, I need help off-setting these increasing expenses. I've long said no one besides Gary and I have any interest in www.handgunlaw.us but it has reached a point that I have to open a donation fund to cover these added expenses.
Your donations are appreciated. However, they are not tax-deductable (SIC). I considered filing for exempt status [501(c3)] but to do so I would have to register the site as a corporation - more money for no gain. unquote. http://www.handgunlaw.us/documents/Donate.html

let's see been out here for a day or two and nobody has asked for and in fact turned down personal contributions for OCDO...tip of the hat to John, Mike, and Grapeshot for keeping this site on the air!!
