OC'ing through the mall to get a corn dog at Orange Julius is one thing; OC'ing through the mall to cast your vote at a POLLING PLACE is quite another.

I say THEY were lucky...meaning it's a good thing they didn't try to deny my right to vote, especially when I had my voice recorder ready to capture everything they say.

I'm gonna paraphrase MAC702 - basically this: if you decide to turn your mall into a polling place, you pretty much are mandated to let everyone in. Maybe that is not a statute in the NRS, dunno, but in my opinion, it should be.

There is something known as Voter Suppression, it's a serious charge. I can argue that this was the most convenient time and location for me to vote, and here they are - the Galleria Mall - denying me access to a polling place. How would that play in court?

Understand now. Did not make to connection turning the mall into a voting place. Makes since, however what about when the voting place is a school?

A school would make it a NPE backed by the force of law, so that changes the game. Personally I would not want to be the Test Case for getting this law changed. Luckily I have options.

I was asked 3 times today if my Ruger SR1911 was a Kimber. I put a Bobtail MSH on it yesterday, I guess everyone affiliates those with Kimbers.
There was one guy that was curious about my OC experiences, he carries concealed regularly and doesn't want to be harassed by police or sheeple. Told him I have been OC for several years and have only had an incident 1 time.

I also have a Ruger SR1911 I get the Kimber question all the time. on another note, has your front sight broken in half and fallen off yet? If not, call Ruger today and have them send you their front sight, They had a vendor problem. Mine fell off at the range. I was shooting a pretty tight group, when I went back on target, my front sight was missing. I called the range dude over and asked him if he had ever seen a front sight break in half before? He got all animated... "whooweee, most people can't shoot that good, with a front sight" still makes me chuckle! Ruger was very accommodating and offered my choice of several different solutions. I was able to fit the sight myself, and am willing to help if you want it.

Took my son out for a belated 21st birthday at the Yard House at Red Rock Casino. Entered through the outer doors without going into the casino. No issues with my gun just issues on how well my son can hold his alcohol LOL. What a ROOKIE!!!!

Mine is the later model made after the casting flaw was identified but I have a FO front sight waiting to be fitted when it returns from being sandblasted, can't wait!
Been carrying my Walther PPK/S, this thing is so light and small I almost forget it is there, the sights are terrible however. I will probably add a Crimson Trace grip since the wife wants to carry it.

Bought a truck camper from a private citizen in Carson City. Bought some lumber at The Home Depot on Damonte Ranch in Reno. Had dinner at Chili's McCarren and S Virginia.

No issues at all.

While checking out at Sportsmans wharehouse today another OCer walked in. Taller fellow in his 50s maybe. 1911 on.

I was unaware of a Sportsman's Warehouse in Las Vegas, where is it?

OC'ed my 1911 today several places including Bass Pro Shop, IHOP for breakfast and Tommy's for lunch. Talked a bit with an older gent there who seemed a bit unfamiliar with OC laws (or lack of OC laws as the case may be). I got some looks, but I think they were admiring the firearm, not freaking out lol

Me, my 3 boys and 6 others all carried at the Clark County Registrar of voters today for the Everytown/MDA petion signature drop-off. Made the news on a few different channels. It was definitely not your standard going out experience but we got to voice our side of the debate at least.

Yesterday carried at Kohl's and Saver's. No issues of course!

First Friday LV

OC'd at First Friday this month. No issues. Weather was great, but the event seemed a little toned down from September's. Perhaps because the StripCheese truck wasn't there this time. Believe me, we looked for it.

Hey, for anyone who hasn't gone to this (only my second time) this thing really is awesome. I'm not into the art stuff that it's all about - I know, right. But just chilling at a free, open air event with tons of food trucks and my buddy's band playing is awesome. You should check it out!

Greetings from long beach california! final getting around to posting here.

Headed to LV for the rock n roll marathon as a participant; arriving Friday thru Monday. I plan on OC'ing most of the whole time I'm legally allowed (not while racing lol!) I'm staying at an RCI timeshare on the south end (grand view) and I don't want to jeopardize my stay - if they object to OC, I'll just politely go out to the car and lock 'er up. I don't want to be one of the goofs that call up everywhere asking if its okay.

Planned stops are: state line outlets, hash house, the strip, bass pro shops, convention center (no-no on OC, right?), various good food spots and general about - town. no north Vegas excursions.

I'm excited to feel free. applying for CCW if I have time Friday and going to metro Monday. also applying back home, Orange County is issuing now under the good cause of "self defense"!

This is tons of knowledge on here. Keeping a printout of the NV OC cheat sheet with me in case I have issues with LEOs.

Raising Cane's in Reno is no longer 2A friendly. They have signs saying no weapons on the doors now.

...and I thought the signs don't matter; unless you're asked to leave? That's what I've understood from the pamphlet. I like cane's, there's one by where I'm staying. I'll try it out.

Signs on pvt places do not matter unless asked to leave. But the fact that they have a sign means they do not respect us. So why should we give then money

Check out NevadaCarry.org for all the state laws. It's a mobile friendly website that you can give to anyone who is ignorant or wants to know more.

Other than the casinos and convention center, you shouldn't have any issues to worry about. We understand about being polite and not wanting to cause trouble. We don't mandate everyone should OC or else they're a Bloomberg wannabe here. Do what you feel is comfortable.

I was under the impression it's highly discouraged there?

Unless you do something dumb or are a gangbanger, NLVPD is probably too busy to harass you. It's mostly an urban legend now based on stuff a long time ago.
