I wonder if he'd be worse than Fischer.

Louisville DSA is happy to announce that we are endorsing Ryan Fenwick for Mayor of Louisville in the 2018 election. Ryan is a DSA member with years of progressive organizing experience with Kentuckians for the Commonwealth. His experience as an activist, a lawyer, and and an urban planner show a strong commitment to helping uplift marginalized communities in Louisville.

Ryan is running against incumbent Greg Fischer in the Democratic primary, and in so doing issuing a direct challenge to the local Democratic establishment. His campaign will only succeed through a grassroots effort built by regular people.

Ryan’s platform includes orienting the city government away from handouts to developers, towards the formation of worker and community owned cooperatives. His platform also includes a commitment to implement restorative justice and participatory budgeting. His goals as mayor will be to allow the regular people of Louisville to be represented in Metro Government, and to promote economic and social justice for all residents of the city.

We encourage our members and friends to support Ryan’s campaign, and look forward to working to help him defeat the political and economic establishment and build a more just Louisville.

Shouldn't this be in the Kentucky state forum?

Not necessarily - it has nothing to do with OCing a properly holstered handgun. Under that circumstance, the Social Lounge is the only place for it.

Note: I modified the title by adding Ky (Kentucky) to it.

I don't support Mr. Fenwick, but I don't see that this message will reach many voters here on OCDO. Mr. Fenwick is a candidate in a Democrat primary election. In the Commonwealth of Ky., that means that the only people that can possibly vote for him are residents of Jefferson Co., Ky. that also happen to be registered democrats and since Mr. Fenwick is a raving lunatic, many of those people would never vote for him in any case. I doubt very many of the remaining prospective voters, that might vote for Mr. Fenwick, visit OCDO very often. The election is not until next April. Mr. Fenwich may have reconsidered his position on running for Mayor by then, especially running against an incumbent. On the other hand electing Mr. Fenwick might be the best way to get a republican elected in next November's general election. I don't live in Jefferson Co, so it is of little interest to me who is elected to run that mess. There might be more interest in this in March of next year. Some of the people that might read this now and be swayed by it could be dead by then.
